Senior bureaucrat's body taken to Lahore.

RAWALPINDI -- The body of a senior bureaucrat Khalid Sherdil, who died in the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) crash in Karachi last week, was brought to Islamabad International Airport (IIA) and later driven to Lahore - along with a convoy of Pakistan Rangers, Punjab Police and Rescue 1122 squad on Wednesday.

The deceased's body arrived via Serene Air flight ER-502 from Karachi at 4:15pm. The coffin was received by Deputy Commissioner Capt Anwar ul Haq, ADCG and City Police Officer Rawalpindi Mohammad Ahsan Younas. The coffin was flag-draped at the airport. The convoy, led by Magistrate Ali Javed left for Lahore afterwards.
