Second Belt and Road Symposium on International Finance.

The second edition of the "Belt and Road Symposium on International Finance" marked a significant international gathering, bringing together scholars and experts from various countries. Hosted by Hebei Normal University (HEBNU) and co-sponsored by China Construction Bank Hebei Branch, along with academic supporter Modern Bankers, the symposium aimed to explore financial development along the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), discuss the latest developments in financial theory and practice, and enhance business exchanges to strengthen Hebei Province's ties with BRI nations. The symposium boasted an impressive lineup of speakers, including esteemed scholars from Russia, China, Pakistan, Brazil, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Peru.

During the opening ceremony, significant addresses were presented by Marcio Pochmann, who serves as the Director of the Brazilian Institute of Geography, and Professor Dai Jianbing, who holds the position of Communist Party Secretary at Hebei Normal University. The event featured a prestigious roster of keynote speakers, including Chen Zhongxin, who holds the position of President of the Hebei Branch of China Construction Bank; Helen Kay Wang, who serves as the Curator of East Asian Money within the Department of Coins and Medals at the British Museum; and Maya Malinda, the Vice-president of Maranatha Christian University in Indonesia. The lineup also boasted renowned figures such as Wu Jingping, the Director of the Research Center for Chinese Financial History at Fudan University; Bradley Emerson, the Executive Director of the Imperial Institute of Higher Education in Sri Lanka; and Carlos Alberto Aquino Rodriguez, who directs the Centre for Asian Studies at San Marcos National University in Peru.

Additionally, Dr. Ijaz Asghar had the honor of representing Qaisar Abbas, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Sargodha in Pakistan, and delivered a speech on his behalf. The Diplomatic Insight Group's CEO and the Global Business Alliance (GBA) Chairman, Mohammad Asif Noor, also participated in the event.
