Scores of shops sealed over SOP violation.

LAKKI MARWAT/BAJAUR -- The local administration in Lakki Marwat and Bajaur tribal district on Tuesday sealed scores of shops over violation of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for checking the spread of coronavirus.

In Lakki Marwat, the tehsil administration of Naurang sealed over 20 shops in the city bazaars. The action was taken following complaints to deputy commissioner Abdul Haseeb about violation of SOPs by the business community.

Additional assistant commissioner Aminullah Khan visited different bazaars in Naurang city and found traders not adhering to the safety measures advised by the government against Covid-19.

He expressed his displeasure over violation of SOPs and sealed 25 outlets. He made it clear that the traders were bound to strictly observe all of the SOPs.

'The administration will not allow the shopkeepers to run their businesses without implementing the relevant protocols,' he said.

In Bajaur tribal district, the administration said it had sealed 12 shops for violating safety protocols against coronavirus and overcharging.
