SBP Open Tennis Championship reaches semis stage.

LAHORE -- The Sports Board Punjab (SBP) Open Tennis Championship 2021 reached the semifinals stage as 24 matches were decided on Thursday here at the PLTA Courts.

In the men's singles quarterfinals, Ahmad Kamil played well against Hasheesh Kumar and outpaced hum by 6-4, 6-2, Hassan Riaz faced some resistance from Abdul Hanan Khan before winning the match by 7-6, 6-3, Imran Bhatti had to struggle hard to beat spirited Mian Bilal by 6-2, 5-7, 10-5 while Mahatir Muhammad played well against promising Shaeel Durab to win the encounter 7-5, 6-2.

The boys U-18 quarterfinals saw Faizan Fayyaz doing smart work against Shaeel Durab and winning his match with a margin of 8-4 while Mahatir Muhammad brushed aside sorry Ahtesham Arif 8-0 and Hasheesh Kumar had also no mercy against Hanzla Anwar, crushing him by 8-0.
