Sarwar again vents anger at bureaucracy.

LAHORE -- Blaming bureaucracy again for delaying his brainchild Aab-i-Pak Authority for over a year, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar continued building pressure on the officers on Wednesday and hinted at promulgating an ordinance to hold them accountable for delaying official files for more than five days.

'I will try to convince the prime minister and chief minister for the promulgation of the ordinance as early as possible,' he said while speaking to the media persons and addressing a ceremony organised to distribute ration among poor rickshaw drivers at the Governor House here on Wednesday.

Mr Sarwar had burst out in front media on Tuesday against some bureaucrats, who according to him, had put roadblocks in the functioning of the authority during the last one-and-a-half year.

The project envisaged by Mr Sarwar is aimed at providing safe drinking water to the masses across the province.
