Sale of traditional Iftar items go high.

RAWALPINDI -- A great rush of customers was being witnessed at special stalls set up in every nook and corner of the city for sale of Iftar items.

Traditional Iftar snacks like vast variety of Samosas, Pakoras, Kachories, Dhai Bhalay, Channa Chaat, Jaleebi, Patti Roll are selling as hot items these days, and people are seen standing in queues to buy them.

Although doctors and prices of these items do not allow the common-man to use high-fat and costly items but are not ready to compromise on purchasing the traditional Iftari items.

Nadeem Khan, a shopper at commercial market, said he and his family wait for the holy month to enjoy fasting and its delicacies in the form of spicy and crispy delights.

He admitted that doctors strictly refrain the faithful to avoid oily and high-protein items, suggesting keeping their diet simple especially at the time of iftar . 'But, I can not stop my hand from these items after around 17 hours break,' he said.
