Sakhi Sarwar accident death toll rises to 10.

DERA GHAZI KHAN -- The death toll of the accident in which a tractor-trolley had plunged into the DG Khan Canal on Friday, rose to 10 as five more bodies were retrieved on Saturday, while nine persons are still missing.

According to officials, the search operation in the canal had been stopped because of darkness and would be resumed in the morning to find the missing people.

Meanwhile, the relatives of the missing people staged a demonstration, blocking Dera-Quetta Road, demanding early recovery of their kin.

Nine persons still missing

The search operation was resumed early on Saturday by Rescue 1122, army and police divers, who recovered five more bodies which were identified as seven-year-old Alishba and Tanzeela, 12-year-old Iman Zahra, Nasreen and Karim Mai.
