Russia has helped Pakistan in various sectors: Durrani.

KARACHI -- Acting Governor Sindh Agha Siraj Khan Durrani said on Thursday that Russia has helped Pakistan in various sectors of economy and the gift of Pakistan Steel Mills was a bright example of its cooperation towards Pakistan.

This he said while talking with newly posted Consul General of Russian Federation at Karachi Mr. Andrey Fedorov, here today at Governor House. Consulate Officer Mr. Pawal was also present on the occasion.

While welcoming him back to Karachi, Agha Siraj Khan Durrani hoped that he would endeavor his utmost for ensuring maximum investment in Sindh from Russian investors. Sindh province has ample investment opportunities in various fields including alternate energy, water treatment, solid waste management and Agriculture, he added.

Acting Governor further said that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto were keen to establishing strong diplomatic relations with Russia. Now, Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari desires to continue legacy of his mother and grandfather, he observed.
