Rs40 million approved for Darul Aman in Gujrat.

GUJRAT -- The Punjab government has approved a Rs40 million fund for the establishment of a Darul Aman (women protection centre) in Gujrat as a piece of four-kanal state land has also been selected in the city's suburbs.

Earlier, the Darul Aman was established in a rented building and the local administration had been seeking funds for the project since long.

Gujrat Deputy Commissioner Dr Khurram Shahzad said the provincial government had allocated the funds in the current fiscal and the civil work on the project would also be launched in the current year.
