Rs110 million approved for provision of gas in I-11: CDA.

ISLAMABAD -- The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved Rs110.119 million for installation of gas network in I-11/1 and 2.

According to a statement, payment would be made to the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL) in a few days after which work on the project would be started.

'Under the project, SNGPL would lay the main pipeline up to the sector and will further establish door-to-door network in I-11/1 and 2.

'The work is likely to be completed in about three months.'

The statement said CDA-DWP at its 45th meeting held in October this year had approved PC-I and PC-IV amounting to Rs2.618 billion for carrying out development works in I-11.

Upon approval of the project costs, concerned formations were directed to fulfil codal formalities so that work could be carried out.

In addition to provision of gas, the authority during its board meeting held in November also approved the allocation of 18.6 kanals for construction of a 132 KV grid station at I-11/2 for provision of electricity in I-11 and I-12.
