Rs0.2 million cheque given to ailing singer.

LAHORE -- Chief Minister's Adviser on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Friday visited folk singer Shaukat Ali at his Johar Town residence and presented him a cheque worth Rs0.2 million as financial assistance.

The folk singer has been suffering from heart problem. He was treated at a Sindh government facility on special instructions of PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari when reports of his ailment and his inability

to afford the treatment cost were aired by the media.
