Rohail Nazir eager to perform in quarter-final against Afghanistan.

Johannesburg -- Pakistan U19 Rohail Nazir is aiming to put up a great show against Afghanistan in the quarter-final fixture of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup Super League at the Willowmoore Park, Benoni on Friday.

Skipper has failed to score big in the group stage matches against Scotland and Zimbabwe where he scored 27 and 0 respectively. He thinks it is high time to deliver and lead the team from the front after having spent an extended time in nets this week.

'We have worked really hard in the last three days in the fielding and net sessions. The head coach has spoken to us and we have worked out a strategy to counter Afghanistan, which is playing well,' he said.

'I got out for a duck against Zimbabwe but I know it is high time for me to deliver,' he added.

The 18-year-old was very happy with the way middle-order batsman applied in the match against Zimbabwe where he and Haider failed at the top.

'Our lower middle-order has played very well so far, the way the batsmen applied themselves in the game against Zimbabwe gives me a lot of satisfaction...
