Robbers shoot man in head, take away cash.

KARACHI -- A 27-year-old man was shot dead by alleged robbers for putting up resistance to a robbery bid in the presence of his sister in Soldier Bazaar on Friday, said police.

Area SHO Anzar Alam said that Inam Ismail got currency notes changed from a money changer. As he passed a short distance on a motorbike with his sister, four suspects riding two motorbikes intercepted him.

They snatched Rs123,000 cash from him at gunpoint. As he put up resistance, the robbers opened fire at his head and fled along with the looted money.

The young man sustained a critical bullet wound and was taken to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital...
