Robbers deprive people of valuables in twin cities.

ISLAMABAD -- Robbers, thieves and burglars deprived people of millions of rupees as well as valuables in 73 incidents in the garrison city on Thursday.

On the other hand, cash and valuables were looted from 18 places in the federal capital, while two persons were injured in separate robberies, police said on Friday.

In Rawalpindi, 18 motorcycles, three cars and 30 mobile phones were either stolen or snatched at gunpoint. Besides, 13 robberies and 24 thefts were reported to the police.

However, none of the culprits have been arrested and no stolen good and cash recovered so far.

In Islamabad, a gang of five culprits beat up a man during a robbery in F-11/1, police said.

The robbers then broke the doors of a room and looted $45,000, Rs600,000, Saudi Riyal 1,500, gold ornaments weighing 10 tolas and four mobile phones at gunpoint.
