A condolence reference was held on Monday at the University of Sindh to pay glowing tribute to the services of eminent scientist, researcher, iconic personality and vice chancellor University of Karachi Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Khan who passed away on Saturday in Karachi.

Chaired by the vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat, the condolence reference was attended by pro-vice chancellors, deans of various faculties, director of centers, chairpersons of departments, a large number of faculty members, officers and members. On the occasion, on behalf of Chancellor SZABIST Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, President Shahnaz Wazir Ali and vice president (academics) Dr. Altaf Mukati, the head of SZABIST Hyderabad Javed Raza Khoso was in especial attendance on this occasion.

Highlighting different aspects of Dr. Ajmal's life, Dr. Burfat said that the late VC had a special ability to conduct research on diverse relevant themes profitable to Pakistani people and promotion of field out plant sciences in the country and abroad. He further remarked that late Dr. Khan remained a man of principles throughout his career which was one reason why he would be greatly revered among academia.

SU vice chancellor, on a somber note gave out a call for reconsideration by all public varsity stake holders to chalk out policies to resolve issues amicably to avert the prospects of any untoward incident, saying that he had heard of some administrative strain casting adverse effects on the health of late vice chancellor.
