Retired major gets bail in cop's murder case.

LAHORE -- An anti-terrorism court on Saturday granted post-arrest bail to a retired army officer in a case of killing a police constable in Model Town.

Presiding Judge Amber Gul allowed the bail petition of retired Maj Sajid Hussain subject to furnishing of bail bond of Rs100,000.

Advocate Farhad Ali Shah appeared before the court on behalf of the suspect and argued that the case was of further investigation.

He said the police had not submitted a challan of the case and the suspect could not be kept behind bars due to a delay on the part of the prosecution.
