Restaurateurs' plea against early closure dismissed.

LAHORE -- The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday dismissed a petition of the association of restaurants challenging the early closure of the eateries announced by the government.

Dismissing the petition, Justice Shahid Karim observed that people needed to change their lifestyle to deal with the challenge of climate change.

The judge asked the counsel for the association whether the children of the restaurant owners would not get affected with the climate change.

He noted that nowhere in the world the restaurants stayed opened till late night.

With these observations, the judge dismissed the petition as not maintainable.
