Restaurants, shops sealed for violating SOPs.

TAXILA -- The district administration sealed several restaurants and shops in various parts of Attock, that were in violation of Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Deputy Commissioner Ali Annan Qammar along with other officials visited Fatehjang and found out that several restaurants were in violation of government instructions of maintaining social distancing and there was no implementation of Covid-19 SOPs in these spots.

Administration officials sealed six restaurants in the area and imposed fines on violators. Officials collected Rs25,000 in fines.

The officials also carried out surprise inspections at filling stations and checked gauges and prices per litre of diesel and petrol.

Meanwhile, eight shopkeepers in Hazro were fined for violating the lockdown and selling essential commodities at exorbitant prices. Customers and shopkeepers were found flouting the social distancing rule; they were also not wearing face-masks and gloves.

Traders were asked to follow the official price list, otherwise they would have to face legal action. Four...
