Pasban Democratic Party (PDP) President Altaf Shakoor here Tuesday welcomed the decision to release Pakistani prisoners from Saudi Arabia and MoUs of huge Saudi investment in Pakistan. In a statement here Tuesday, he said full credit goes to the Prime Minister Imran Khan for securing the release of Pakistan prisoners in Saudi Arabia.

He hoped that the prime minister would also ensure the release of the daughter of the nation, Dr Aafia Siddiqui, from a US jail. He reminded that Dr Aafia has already written a letter to PM Imran Khan, requesting his government to take steps for her release. He said the State is like parents for citizens and it I hoped that the State and government of Pakistan would not disappoint Dr Aafia Siddiqui and the Pakistani nation. He said the release of Aafia is also an electoral promise of Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf.

Altaf Shakoor said the successful visit of the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia is a clear indicator that the PTI government is trying hard putting the country on right path of progress and prosperity. He said that the promised investment from Saudi Arabia and MoUs signed during the recent visit of billions of dollars would help in promoting economy in Pakistan and also encouraging other countries to invest in Pakistan. He said if the government manages to lure enough foreign investment from the friendly countries there would be no need to begging for the costly IMF loans.

PDP President said Pakistan is a resource-rich country, having huge manpower. He said by utilizing our abundant resources in optimal manner and by educating and training our manpower on war footing, majority of it is comprised on young people, we could easily join the rank of the most developed nations in this region.
