Reinstated MS refuses to take office without notification.

RAWALPINDI: The medical superintendent at Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) has refused to rejoin his office without a notification issued by the Punjab Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department.

The provincial government had verbally asked Rawalpindi Medical University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Umer to reinstate Dr Tariq Masood Khan Niazi as BBH medical superintendent on Wednesday.

Dr Niazi, however, told the department to first issue a notification.

'I am waiting for written orders. I received verbal communication about my reinstatement, but it will not be morally correct to join the office,' Dr Niazi told Dawn.

The Young Doctors Association (YDA) Rawalpindi chapter has condemned the provincial government for not issuing written orders for Dr Niazi's reinstatement.
