Rawalpindi residents face water shortage.

RAWALPINDI -- Though heavy rains have filled dams, residents of cantonment areas are facing water shortage due to the indifferent attitude of Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB). Raja Mazhar, a resident of Afshan Colony, said the RCB has failed to provide water to the residents but was sending bills. He said the government should take up the matter seriously and resolve the issue.

Tariq Mehmood said during Ramazan the residents had to purchase water from private tankers. He said the requirement of water increased in the summer but the civic body was still rationing the commodity.
