Rangers asked to help retrieve govt lands.

SUKKUR -- The Sindh High Court, Sukkur bench comprising Justice Aftab Ahmed Gorar and Justice Faheem Ahmed Siddiqui on Tuesday rejected the report submitted by the forest department regarding progress of its ongoing anti-encroachment operation.

The bench also expressed its displeasure over irrigation department's inaction to retrieve its lands.

During the hearing of the case, the court observed that police officers were only serving influential people and, in turn, they were getting desired postings. Nothing good could be expected from them, it remarked.

The bench ordered Rangers to come forward and get the occupied state properties retrieved.

It also ordered the deputy commissioners of Ghotki, Dadu and Naushahro Feroze to submit their reports...
