Railways to shut doors of populous places along side tracks.

ISLAMABAD -- Ministry of Railways is planning to shutdown access of populous places along side track to prevent accidents at the pathways of trains.

'In this regard, on the directives of Minister for Railways, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, instructions have been issued to all Divisional Superintendents of Railways,' an official in the Ministry told reporter. He said no educational institutions, small industrial units or play grounds will be built along rail tracks around 1,700 km.

'Railways Divisional Superintendents have issued notices to schools and industrial units owners to remove their entrances from these areas,' he said adding, legal action would be taken against violators.
