QRF, Rangers sought for cricket team's security.

ISLAMABAD -- The capital police have sought 21 teams of Quick Response Force (QRF) and 138 of snipers from Rangers for the security of the Bangladesh cricket team scheduled to arrive in the capital next week.

Each team consists of at least two personnel, officials in the police told Dawn.

VVIP security, including box security, will be provided to the visiting cricket team, they added.

The team is expected o arrive in the capital on February 5 and play a test match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

A route has been designated to take the players to the stadium and back.

The route has been divided into three sectors.

Five teams of QRF and 53 teams of snipers have been requested for the first sector of the road.

Likewise, five QRF teams along with 66 sniper teams would be needed for the second sector and two teams of QRF and 10 teams of snipers for the third sector.
