Punjab sprays 133,000 hectares for locust.

LAHORE -- The Punjab government, under a comprehensive strategy, has completed surveillance of 3.7 million hectares and sprayed 133,000 hectares so far to save standing Kharif crops from the possible locust damage.

This was stated by Chief Secretary Jawwad Rafique Malik while briefing a meeting of the National Locust Control Centre through video-link. Agriculture Minister Malik Noaman Ahmad and other provincial authorities also attended the meeting.
