PTI seeks progress on cases against PML-N, PPP.

ISLAMABAD -- The ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday submitted an application seeking progress in the scrutiny process against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) in foreign funding cases.

The plea submitted by the leader of PTI and Member National Assembly (MNA) Farrukh Habib stated that the matter with regard to the prohibited funds received by PPP and PML-N was pending before the Scrutiny Committee for a long time and despite the frequent orders passed by the commission, the committee had failed to submit a final report in the case.

The application submitted by the ruling party further stated that conduct of both the parties was reflecting use of delaying tactics. The application further demanded the committee to submit final report with no further delay as per directives of the ECP. Meanwhile, talking to media outside the ECP, PTI MNA Farrukh Habib claimed that they had already submitted evidence and proofs against the two big parties of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in cases against them.
