PTI lawmaker voices concern over downsizing in Danish School.

TAXILA -- PTI MNA retired Major Tahir Sadiq on Monday expressed concern over sending scores of low paid employees of Danish School System packing, besides transferring others to different districts.

According to the MNA, the Punjab government has decided to scrap the former PML-N government's Danish School System in the province and divert the resources to other education projects.

In his letter to Punjab School Education Minister Murad Rass, the PTI lawmaker expressed his concern over the rationalisation policy in Danish School System in which low carder employees like plumbers, cook, tailors and cobblers were being dismissed from service or transferred to other districts of the province.

The last PML-N government has established Danish School System in December 2012 under which eight schools for underprivileged were established in remote and far flung areas including Attock, Chishtian , Dera Ghazi Khan , Hasilpur , Mianwali, Muzaffargarh , Rajanpur and Rahimyar Khan.

At present, as many as 1,400 boys and girls students are studying in Danish School, Attock.

Sources said that more than 500 employees who have been working in different Danish Schools across the province will be sent home while more than 100 will be transferred under downsizing and rationalization policy by the Punjab Danish schools authority.
