The steel dealers demonstrated in Bannu area on Monday to protest'unjustified' actions of customs officials.

The protesters took out a rally in several bazaars before gathering outside the customs offices in Naseerabad area to stage a sit-in.

Holding banners and placards, they demanded an immediate halt to action against steel traders.

Association president Malik Zaheer Khan, led the rally, alleged that the customs officials were seizing the steel bars made in Lahore and other parts of the country after declaring them to be smuggled.

He said steel bars carried the name of the manufacturer.
