Progress on the Safe City project is in full swing: Ghulam Nabi Memon.

KARACHI -- Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon has said that work on the Safe City project in Karachi is in full swing. To curb criminal elements, the police have stepped up patrolling, blockade, and snap-checking which is yielding positive results and restoring law and order in the city. Attacks on police have increased in the last few months, many dutiful officers have been martyred but this will not dampen the morale of the police. He expressed these views during a meeting with the President of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Salman Aslam at the Police Head Office. He said that there are many difficulties and problems which the police, the people, and the business community have to face together.

Ghulam Nabi Memon has said that CCTV has facilitated our investigation. The police are performing their duties diligently. In such cases, the full cooperation of the people is required. Steps are also being taken to bridge the gap between the police and the people, which has restored public confidence in the police.
