President's State Visit to Dprk

The President of Mongolia, Ts. Elbegdorj headed for Pyongyang, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea along with First Lady Kh.Bolormaa and accompanying officials on October 28, for an official state visit.

The Mongolian visitors were welcomed by the Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK Kim Yong-nam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary from Mongolia to DPRK M.Ganbold, and other officials at Pyongyang’s Sunan International Airport.

Later on, the president held official talks with the President of the DPRK’s Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly, Kim Yong Nam, at Pyongyang’s Mansudae Assembly Hall.

Mongolia and the DPRK signed three cooperation agreements in the fields of industry and agriculture; sports, culture and tourism; and information technology. President Ts.Elbegdorj took part in the signing ceremony of bilateral cooperation documents.

An Agreement of Cooperation in Industry and Agriculture between the governments of Mongolia and the DPRK was signed by the Minister of Industry and Agriculture of Mongolia Kh.Battulga and Minister of Foreign Trade of the DPRK Ri Ryong Nam; an Agreement of Cooperation in Culture, Sport and Tourism between the governments of Mongolia and DPRK was signed by Minister of Foreign Relations of Mongolia L.
