Praises pour in as Babar, Abid amuse fans with quality cricket.

Former cricketers and cricket fans immediately took to Twitter to praise two top performers of Day 5 of the opening Test between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, Abid Ali and Babar Azam.

Abid (109) and Babar (102) scored 162 runs together as a complete day of cricket was witnessed at Pindi Stadium after a frustrating rain spell for last three days.

Abid got applause for his record-making Test debut century while Babar collected praise for gaining rhythm in Test cricket and scoring the third century in red-ball cricket.

Former Test pacer Shoaib Akhtar highly appreciated Abid for becoming the first man on this planet to score debut ODI and Test tons. 'It is a proud moment for all of us. Abid has a great temperament and he has proved that. I hope he continues giving his best to the team in the future,' he said in a video on Twitter.

Discarded bowler Hasan Ali also congratulated Abid for a splendid milestone after a waiting long to enter an international circuit.
