PPP striving to provide all basic facilities at doorstep of people: Nasir.

KARACHI -- Sindh Minister for Local Government and Public Health Engineering Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on Wednesday said Pakistan People's Party (PPP) government in Sindh was taking every possible step to provide at the earliest clean drinking water to the people of the rural and backward areas of the province, along with standard sewerage system there.

The minister was presiding over a meeting here in his office to review the ongoing schemes of drinking water and sewerage, and on making functional the non-operative RO plants.

The participants included Member National Assembly Mehaish Malani, Member Sindh Assembly Muhammad Qasim Soomro, Sindh Secretary Public Health Engineering Saeed Awan, Deputy Commissioner Tharparkar Muhammad Nawaz Sohu and senior officers of PHE. Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that provision of clean drinking water and strong sewerage system was a part of the vision of PPP Chairman Bilal Bhutto Zardari.

And, PPP government was striving to provide all basic facilities at the doorstep of the people and upgrade their life standard within shortest possible time.
