PPP, PML-N ask workers to join protest outside ECP.

PESHAWAR -- Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz here on Sunday asked their office-bearers to mobilise workers for participation in the protest demonstration to be held outside the Election Commission of Pakistan in Islamabad on Tuesday (tomorrow).

PPP provincial president Mohammad Humayun Khan said in a statement here that the ECP had been hearing the foreign funding case against the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf since 2014, but it was yet to give its verdict.

He said the PTI leadership was continuously using derogatory language against the opposition parties, but it had failed to prove any of the allegations. The foreign funding case, he hoped, would prove as to who had obtained funds from some anti-Pakistan countries and for what purpose.

The PPP provincial chief said it was time the ECP should announce its verdict so that the nation could know the factual position. He said Imran Khan was sitting on the prime minister's seat, but he was playing a role like an opposition leader to level baseless allegations against his rival politicians.
