Positive today, negative after four days: Inconsistent test reports creating doubts among public.

SIALKOT -- The Daska naib tehsildar and a doctor in Sialkot, earlier declared Covid-19 cases from an official lab, have now tested negative for the virus after four days of the earlier test.

The negative test report was issued by a private lab on Thursday. Similarly, the seven family members of naib tehsildar's family also tested negative.

The Sialkot health department will conduct tests before releasing him from the quarantine.

The doctor, who tested negative for the virus on Thursday, was earlier declared positive on May 2. Likewise, in neighbourhood Islamabad, the results of seven confirmed coronavirus cases also came negative this week. Inconsistent test reports have drawn the attention of Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar.

He asked Deputy Commissioner Dr Nasir Mehmood Bashir to look into the matter.

BAHAWALPUR: A senior medical officer and three constables tested positive for coronavirus here on Thursday.

The doctor belongs to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital (BVH) and the two police constables are from the Kotwali police station Kotwali and one from the district police lines.

The doctor said a suspected coronavirus case, who later tested positive, came to him at the BVH to seek his help for his treatment a few days ago. The doctor has quarantined himself at his residence.

The police said the three officials tested positive for the virus had performed duties at a quarantine centre at the Islamia University.
