Policeman shoots two 'robbers' to death in Landhi.

KARACHI -- Two suspected robbers were shot dead by a police guard of a bureaucrat in Korangi Industrial Area on Wednesday, police and rescuers said.

Awami Colony SHO Jamal Khan Leghari said that two trucks carrying flour usually arrives outside the office of the Landhi assistant commissioner in Bilal Colony, where people purchased flour at the subsidised rate of Rs300 per 10kg bag.

He said the flour in one truck had been sold out while bags in the other truck were being sold when four armed robbers riding two motorbikes arrived there and tried to snatch cash from citizens, who put up resistance.
