Policeman martyred in Dera raid.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN -- A police constable was martyred and another injured when the personnel of Counter-Terrorism Department exchanged fire with outlaws during a raid on a hideout in Parova tehsil here on Tuesday night.

Officials said a CTD team raided a hideout in Ramak area after receiving information about presence of two wanted terrorists there. They said two terrorists, Nisar Muavia and his brother Ibrar Muavia, were wanted to the police in terrorism cases, attacks on law enforcement personnel, murder and kidnapping. They were also affiliated to a local gang of outlaws.

The sources said soon after the police raiding team reached the suspected hideout, they came under fire. As a result, head constable Noor Wali Shah was killed and constable Jahangir was injured.
