Police from other cities face lodging issues.

ISLAMABAD -- The capital police are facing shortage of suitable accommodation for security personnel who have come to the capital to deal with participants of the Azadi March.

In this regard, the police approached the capital administration to resolve the issue besides arranging buildings for the accommodation of the personnel, said officers in the police and administration. In response, the capital administration offered schools but the educational institutes were found in pathetic conditions.

Earlier, the police demanded a contingent of 20,000 personnel from Punjab, KP, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, railway police and FC. The capital administration was requested to arrange arrangements for accommodation of the contingent at Sports Complex and Haj Complex.

A force, comprising 7,000 officials, arrived in the capital for security duty. But the administrations of Sports Complex and Haj Complex refused to allow the police to use the buildings for accommodation.
