Police facilitation centres in Hazara hospitals soon.

HARIPUR -- The Hazara police are going to open facilitation centres in all the public sector hospitals to help the families of police personnel needing treatment.

This was stated by regional police officer Dr Mazharul Haq Kakakhel while talking to mediapersons here on Sunday. He said that taking ailing family members to hospitals during duty hours had always been a problem for the policemen who were supposed to remain on call for duty round the clock.

'Facing such a situation ultimately makes the people in uniform under stress as they could neither help their families often in critical need of medical examination nor refuse to perform their duty,' he said.

He said that now the police department had devised a policy of signing MoUs with the administration of district headquarters, tehsil headquarters and tertiary care hospitals for the purpose.

Mr Kakakhel said that the hospital administrations would allocate a small portion of space within the hospital vicinity and the police would deploy there two constables, including one female, who would help the families of police personnel getting examined and treated by the doctors.
