Police crack down on liquor peddlers.

TOBA TEK SINGH -- District Police Officer Waqar Shoaib Qureshi claims that strict arrangements had been made to prevent supply of liquor to Christian localities.

Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, he claimed that the city police late on Tuesday night stopped a car near municipal committee's octroi post on Toba-Gojra Road and recovered 273 bottles of liquor filled in fake imported bottles.

He said police arrested Zahid Fareed Mughal, a resident of Faisalabad, who told officials during investigation that he was supposed to supply the liquor bottles to Christian localities in the district. Police also impounded his car, said the DPO who added that officials arrested more than 100 liquor sellers during a crackdown in the last three days and recovered hundreds of litres of liquor.
