Police claim busting gang involved in heinous crimes.

KARACHI -- Police on Wednesday claimed to have busted a gang of robbers allegedly involved in several incidents of murder, attempted murder and rape during house robbery, said West SSP Suhai Aziz.

'Police arrested the gang of hardened criminals after receiving a tip-off. The outlaws are involved in murder, rape and house robberies,' said the senior officer.

Sharing details of some of the heinous crimes the suspects were involved in, the SSP said the gang members shot dead a property dealer, Farooq Rafiq, on Feb 6 inside an estate agency office in Surjani Town's Sector 7-A when he put up resistance and snatched six mobile phones and Rs60,000 cash.

They had also gunned down a member of Saddar Electronics Market, Ameen Ahmed, on the main road in Sector 51 of Surjani Town on Jan 27 and snatched two mobile phones and Rs25,000 cash from the victim before fleeing.

Rape during house robbery

The suspects confessed to storming into a house in Hasan Brohi Goth in Surjani Town on Jan 28, subjecting a resident to rape at gunpoint and snatching gold chain and Rs10,000 cash from her and other family members.
