Chinese Contemporary Art -2015 is on view through August 12, at Mongolian National Modern Art Gallery, south of Best Western Premier Tuushin Hotel.

In this exhibition, more than 40 artworks by 12 artists are presented. The Chinese paintings have descriptions and poems related to the paintings underneath them, revealing the poems inside the paintings and the paintings inside the poems.

The paintings were mostly in ink, and the lines and techniques used to create these exhibited great mastery. The paintings explore traditional methods being transformed through contemporary art.

"This is an exhibition by modern representatives of Chinese traditional paintings rather than Chinese contemporary artists. These artists are masters of Go Hua paintings, who possess remarkable traditional Chinese painting techniques. Although ink paintings look similar, they require very meticulous strokes and unique skills if you really observe them," said Union of Mongolian Artists member Sh.Chimeddorj.
