PM decides not to visit US, will address UNGA virtually.

ISLAMABAD -- Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided not to travel to the United States where he was scheduled to attend the United Nations General Assembly session in New York, instead he would address UNGA virtually from Islamabad, it is learnt officially.

Diplomatic sources told the Nation that Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi would travel to New York to lead the Pakistan delegation and would hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts from a number of countries.

"No meeting between Foreign Minister Qureshi and US secretary of state Tony Blinkin has been scheduled on the sidelines of the UNGA," a source confirmed. Sources said the prime minister would deliver a virtual address before UNGA on 24th September 2021 from Islamabad.
