Pindi hospitals run short of PPE.

RAWALPINDI -- Doctors at Rawalpindi hospitals ran short of personal protective equipment (PPE) and demanded the government solve the issue as they are at the risk of contracting Covid-19.

An official report sent to the Punjab government said there was a shortage of gloves and face masks in the district hospitals.

Young Doctors Association (YDA) Rawalpindi chapter president of Dr Rana Azeem said there was an acute shortage of PPE in hospitals, especially at Benazir Bhutto Hospital.

He said they did not have gloves and surgical masks and the administration was not taking any serious step to meet the shortage. 'The matter is being brought to the notice of the hospital administration repeatedly,' he said.
