Pharm-D classes begins at Dow College of pharmacy.

KARACHI -- The Classes of Pharm-D new session at Dow College of Pharmacy begin Monday, 20 January 2020, addressing the welcome class as a chief guest the Vice Chancellor of Dow University of Health Sciences Prof. Mohammed Saeed Quraishy said that research is the need for today. In the field of research, we encourage our students and provide all possible help because research is the only tool that helps fight diseases and opens new avenues of knowledge. Senior faculty members and students including Principal of Dow College of Pharmacy Prof. Sumbul Shamim and Dean of Dow College of Pharmacy Prof. Noor Jahan were present on the occasion.

Prof. Mohammed Saeed Quraishy said that when Dow Medical College was founded in 1945, a century ago, its purpose was to provide the education of MBBS. But over time, attention has been paid to all areas of scientific education in view of social needs, and today we are considering setting up the Fine Arts Department. He added that the pharmacy's five-year program trains their students in the best way, so that they can become proficient in professional skills. He said that we have the best faculty of Pakistan which consists of 33 PhDs. He congratulated the new students on being part of Dow University and said all this was possible because of your hard work, passion, dedication and parental interest.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal of Dow College of Pharmacy Prof. Sumbul Shamim said that the first batch of the College began in 2008, and today we are welcoming the 13th batch in the morning while 6th batch in the evening.
