PFUJ condemns journalist's murder, seeks killers' arrest.

ISLAMABAD -- The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has condemned the murder of senior journalist Zulfiqar Ali Mandrani in Jacobabad.

Mr Mandrani was shot dead in the name of honour on Tuesday.

In a joint statement issued on Wednesday, PFUJ president Shahzada Zulfiqar and secretary general Nasir Zaidi urged the Sindh government and police to take notice of the incident and ensure foolproof security to media people.

They demanded immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the incident.

'The murder must be independently investigated by police and the Sindh government must ensure an independent probe into the incident to ensure justice for the family of Zulfiqar Ali Mandrani,' the PFUJ statement said.
