Pesco's grid station plan opposed.

SWABI -- The people of Kunda union council here have staged a protest demonstration and blocked Swabi-Jehangira road to traffic for hours against the Peshawar Electric Supply Company's plan to build a power grid station on their land.

The people gathered at Kunda bus stop and started raising slogans against the Pesco and leaders of the ruling party for building a grid station on their land against their will. They said that it was an issue of the entire region and no one should do politics on this.

The protesters said that they had earlier informed the officials concerned about their reservations, but they adopted delaying tactics and did not pay heed, forcing them to stage a protest demonstration.
