PERMANENT NEUTRALITY OF INDEPENDENT TURKMENISTAN PEACE AND IS THE PLEDGE OF PROSPERITY.

At the end of the twentieth century, another independent state - the state of Turkmenistan - appeared on the world map. Of course, this meant that the centuries-old aspirations of the Turkmen people were in reality fulfilled. Thus, among the flags of the independent states of the world, which are located in a beautiful place in front of the United Nations.

Headquarters in New York, the green flag of our state is a symbol of the national independence of the Turkmen people in front of the world community. Shortly after these events, the international prestige of the independent state of Turkmenistan was once again elevated in the eyes of the states of the world, and the ancestral peace-loving and benevolent national traditions of the Turkmen people became a testament to the peoples of the world. It is also a great honor to be awarded the Permanent Neutrality by the United Nations to the State of Independent Turkmenistan. Let's take a look at some of the events of that time related to this situation.

At the 3rd Meeting of the Heads of State of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Islamabad in March 1995, it was stated that Independent Turkmenistan was pursuing a policy of neutrality in the region and in the world, and this policy was made clear to the world community. It was noted at the meeting that the policies of Switzerland, which had recognized neutrality in 1815, and Austria, whose neutrality had been recognized in 1955, and that the capitals of those states, Geneva and Vienna, had become reconciliation centers in Europe and around the world. At the 3rd Summit of the Heads of State of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), it was noted that the time has come to establish such a reconciliation center throughout the Asian region, a situation that is a historical necessity for today. It was emphasized that Independence Turkmenistan, based in Central Asia, and Ashgabat, its capital, have all the facilities and conditions to be such a coordinating center in the region.

The Islamabad Declaration, adopted by the 3rd Meeting of the Heads of State of the ECO Member States, unanimously supported the proposal for the permanent positive neutrality of Independent Turkmenistan.
