PERMANENT NEUTRALITY AND EFFECTIVE DIPLOMACY OF TURKMENISTAN ON THE REGIONAL SECURITY ISSUES.

Central Asia, both in historical and geopolitical dimensions, has been one of the most attractive regions of the planet, even since pre-historical ages. For centuries Central Asia has always been associated with nomadic peoples inhabiting its vast expanses and the Great Silk Road, that acted as a place where converged people, goods and ideas from different parts of the Eurasian continent - Europe, the Middle East, South and East Asia. Central Asia also a unique region thanks to rich natural resources and a good prospects for the development of tourism and. The region store the most valuable deposits of oil, natural gas, copper, uranium, gold, silver, and rare elements. The geographical position of the region, which makes it a kind of intercontinental crossroads. Analyzing the geopolitical processes in Central Asia in the context of global changes, it is necessary to pay attention to a number of aspects of regional security issues

The actualization of the neutrality of Turkmenistan as an effective instrument of geopolitics is especially visible in the regional and interregional contexts, when Central Asia is rapidly drawn into the orbit of world processes. At the same time, it should be noted that the countries of the Central Asian region are becoming not just participants, but also active subjects in the formation of new formats of dialogue. In this context, Turkmenistan actively participates in consolidating joint efforts aimed at constructively solving regional problems. Over the last several decades, the strategy of neutrality of Turkmenistan has significantly enriched on the basis of the accumulated practical experience and conceptual scientific researches.

The foreign policy of Turkmenistan remains committed to its fundamental principles and international legal obligations: non-interference in external conflicts, non-participation in multilateral military, political and other structures of a supranational nature, commitment to a peaceful, political and diplomatic solution of interstate conflicts, respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, peacefulness and good neighborliness.
