People throng snow-covered mountains in Bajaur.

KHAR -- A large number of people are visiting the snow-covered mountains of Bajaur tribal district to enjoy the snow and natural beauty of the area.

The residents said that it was for the first time that such a large number of people were visiting the snowfall areas.

Talking to this correspondent, a number of people, who were on way to the snow-covered localities, said that they were glad to see the heavy snowfall in the district.

'It's a great pleasure visiting the snowfall localities,' said Hanif Khan, a resident of Nawi Kallay area of Khar tehsil.

The residents said almost all mountains of the district were covered with heavy snow. They said that some had received up to nine feet snow, which was the heaviest during last several years.

They said that most of the people were visiting the mountains, located along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, due to their natural beauty. They said that Gkhaki, Kitkoot, Kaga and Gabri mountains were among the most attractive spots.
