People asked to play role for dignity of motherland.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN -- Gomal University Vice-chancellor Prof Shakibullah said here on Wednesday that all Pakistanis should play their role to defend the dignity of their motherland.

He was addressing a ceremony organised at Quaid-i-Azam Campus of the university in connection with Pakistan Day. The event was attended by director administration Usman Khan Wazir, director admissions Riyaz Ahmed Bittani, coordinator of campus Dr Allah Noor, provost Dr Samiullah, deputy provost Dr Yahya Khan, DSA Dr Nafid Khan, the teachers of all departments and a large number of students.

Prof Shakib said that all the citizens should own their responsibility and play their role to defend the dignity of their motherland. He said that anti-Islamic forces had been actively working against Pakistan since freedom of the country. He said that the whole nation must unite as one body to foil those conspiracies.

'We have to put aside our personal likes and dislikes and come together for the sake of motherland and pledge solidarity and unity to bring the country out of the present situation,' he said. He said that students should focus on education.
